Newborn sessions are a beautiful way to capture the beautiful tiny details of your newborn. From the little wrinkles and rolls, the tiny hands, the itty bitty toes, their button nose and little pouts, these sessions are focused on capturing the smallest of details that you want to remember.

As a mother of two little munchkins, I know how quickly babies can grow. The moment is so fleeting and capturing those little details are so important so you can look back one day and remember just how tiny they were.

Newborn sessions are perfect to document the earliest stage of their lives. The sessions are held in a professional heated studio with a client lounge, change table and all props, backdrops, outfits, headbands, bonnets and more is provided. Sessions are meticulously planned prior to your arrival so you can have a beautiful stress free experience and watch the magic happen as your baby will be handled with upmost care as we work through the sets specifically designed for your session day. All sessions are customised for clients based on your preferences, colour schemes and prop selection.

Newborns are best photographed in the first few weeks of life between 5 - 21 days (studio newborn) or first few weeks of life (lifestyle newborn) as this is when they are most sleepiest and squishy. Not all mums can visit the studio immediately and so I do offer newborn sessions up to 3 months of age. For older babies it is recommended to have a slightly longer session to account for my settling time as older babies are typically more alert.

Newborn safety will always be paramount throughout the session. Great care, skill and time is taken to ensure that your baby is comfortable throughout the session and we will take as many breaks as needed to ensure that the baby is settled.

Lifestyle Newborn: Sessions are held in the comfort of your own home in a more natural setting. Lifestyle sessions are best held within the first few weeks of your baby being born but can be held up to 6 months of age.

Newborn sessions are held in my professional studio based in High Street, Maitland. All sessions are customised for each client and include access to my large collection of props, wraps, backdrops, blankets, tiebacks, headbands, bonnets, outfits and more.

Studio is open Monday - Friday. Weekends are subject to availability and a weekend loading of $75 per session request.

All newborn sessions are tentatively booked and reconfirmed once your baby is born. Full newborn session is up to 2.5 hours. Proof galleries will be provided to you after your session for you to select your digital image collection.

Upon final gallery release you will receive your complimentary coloured 5x7 lustre matte prints for each image selected in your gallery. Orders are placed weekly and images may take up to 4 weeks to be received. Request for order changes or additional prints are subject to an additional fee.

*Free on-location maternity is available for locations within 15 minute drive of Maitland CBD. Location list will be provided on booking. Locations outside radius are subject to an additional fee and confirmed at booking stage.

*Free maternity cannot be exchanged for another session and images must be selected from the maternity session or are forfeited. Free maternity session is subject to availability.
